Carla Jean Ainsworth, 60, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Indian River Medical Center.
Ms. Ainsworth was born November 18, 1949 in Austin, MN and moved to Vero Beach 9 years ago from St. Petersburg, FL having previously lived in Minneapolis, MN.
She had been a CNA and worked for Pieces of a Dream and other healthcare agencies.
Mrs. Ainsworth attended the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Vero Beach and was also active in the Democratic Party of Indian River County.
Survivors include her son Jason Blackstone of Big Lake, MN; mother Delores Hegstad of Columbia, MN; sister Michelle Khan-Schlefsky of Vero Beach; brothers Tony Johnson of Vero Beach and Gino Johnson of Melbourne, FL; and one grandson.
She was preceded in death by her father Carl Sigfried Johnson and two brothers David Ternes and Shawn Hastings.
Services: A memorial service will be celebrated, 4:00 PM, Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Unity Church, 950 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida.
