Obit: Carmella Rita Mullis
Carmella Rita Mullis, 86, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday, February 25, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. Mullis was born April 19, 1921 in Magnolia Springs, AL and moved to Vero Beach in 1954 from Cocoa Beach, FL.
She worked in the Vero Beach High School cafeteria prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, VFW and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children DeLys Young of Accord, NY, Deborah A. Mullis of Winter Park, FL, Randolph J. Mullis of Madison, WI, Margot Hernandez of Weehawken, NJ, Mona Leibinger of Orlando, FL and Robert Mullis of Fort Pierce, FL; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Mullis was predeceased by her husband James L. Mullis.
Services: The family will receive friends 4-6 PM, Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a prayer service at 6 PM. Mass will be celebrated 2 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
