Carmine J. Corridore
Carmine J. Corridore, 76, of Ft. Pierce, FL died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.
Mr. Corridore was born January 11, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1976 from Brentwood, Long Island, NY.
He had been a hydraulic mechanic for Grumman in Long Island and Stuart, FL and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. Mr. Corridore was also an artist and author of several published works including novels, children's books and poetry. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years Angela Corridore of Ft. Pierce, FL; son Richard B. Doughten, Jr. of Holbrook, NY; son Joseph C. Corridore of Amityville, NY; daughter Doreen DiDonato of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter Maryanne Corridore Danielson of Williston Park, NY; daughter Theresa A. Baker of Vero Beach; daughter Angela Rittenhouse of Ofallon, MO; son Carmine J. Corridore, Jr. of Tobyhanna, PA; sisters Sue Brigante and Roseann Atoria-Corridore of Clarks Summit, PA; brother Peter Atoria of Long Island, NY; fourteen grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM, Monday, November 21, 2011 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
