Carol L. Beard, 54, died Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Raulerson Hospital. She had been a resident of Okeechobee for the past 19 years.
She is survived by her husband of 13 years, John A. Beard; sons, William (Tish) Pelham, Daniel Pelham; daughter, Megan Beard; seven grandchildren, all of Okeechobee; brothers, John Sweatt of Ocala, Mark Sweatt of Okeechobee; and a sister, Tara Bauer of Ocala.
A Celebration of Carols Life will be held at the Buxton-Seawinds Funeral Home on Monday, July 25, 2011, from 6 to 8 pm followed by a covered dish dinner.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations in memory of Carol be made to Hospice of Okeechobee, P.O. Box 1548, Okeechobee, Florida 34973.
