Paid obit-Carole Ann Hagen
A viewing for Carole A. Hagen, 65, of Indianlantic will be held at Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home, Melbourne, Fl. on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM.
Mrs. Hagen died Friday, October 10, 2008 at her residence, formerly of Chatham Township, NJ was a professional dancer and teacher who operated her own dance studio for 20 years. She also directed the recreational dance programs for Berkley Heights, Summit, Short Hills, Millburn, and Morristown, NJ. After moving to Florida, Mrs. Hagen again became involved with childrens work, acting as a surrogate grammy to many families in her community.
Born in Newark, NJ, Mrs. Hagen was a 1961 graduate of Union High School, and a 1963 graduate of Larchment Secretarial School.
Mrs. Hagen volunteered actively in her community by conducting dance performances for area nursing homes, the VFW, and local schools. She was a member of the N.J. Dance Teachers Association, Dance Educators of America, and the Professional Dance Teachers Association.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul A. Hagen in 1991. Survivors include: daughter Kelly, two sons, Paul and Russell, six grandchildren Gabrielle, P.J., Sam, Isabel, Alice and Katherine. Also surviving are sisters Lois M. Arthur, Gail J. Van Wart, and brother Robert L. Haren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Patricks Catholic Church in NJ Followed by interment in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, NJ
