Carol Ann Burkholder Javins was born April 14, 1933 in Willoughby, Ohio to the late Howard N. Burkholder & V. Audrey Burkholder. Carol in youth, resided in Conneaut Lake, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. She attended the Allegheny College & Ohio University where she became a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.
Carol met her high school sweetheart and married the love of her life, Alfred Javins in 1952. To this union one daughter was born, Jacquelyn. Carol's careers included: Music/Piano Teacher, Modeling, Dancer for Arthur Murray, and Bank Teller. Carol dedicated her time volunteering with many organizations such as National Women's Club, Girl Scouts of America, National and Local Humane Societies, Hospital Auxiliary, and Juvenile Conference Committee. Having been a cancer survivor for 34 years, Carol became the spokeswoman for Skin, Breast and Lung Cancer.
On August 28, 2016, her 64th wedding anniversary, Carol Ann Burkholder departed this Life and Entered into Rest, preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Javins in 2010. Left to cherish her Precious Memory are her daughter, Jacquelyn Gilbert and son-in-law Robert Gilbert; grandson, Gregory Gilbert; brother, Duane Burkholder and his wife Shirley; sister, Terry Sue White and John; Angel McCall, Frank Moshier, Terri Blair, Frank Moshier Jr, Diane Tyson, and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
