Carol Ann Puckett, age 79 of Vero Beach, Florida passed away April 14, 2025 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Ms. Puckett was born in Bournemouth, England of July 23, 1945 to the late Arthur and Daphne Shewmaker of Galion, Ohio.

Carol was an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Vero Beach and later went to Pastor Harvey Webb's services at Hidden Lakes. Carol worked hard as a single mother to get her master's degree and was a nurse in clinical studies before she retired. She was an avid reader and loved to knit and crochet. Sitting at the beach was one of Carol's favorite places to be, she felt near to God there.

Left to cherish her memory are two children, Kelli Hope and her husband Chris of Citrus Springs, Florida and John Puckett of Katy, Texas. She had four grandchildren Andrew, Mitchell and Alyssa Hope and Johnny Bailey Puckett. She also has one sister Nan Sampsel of North Carolina and her husband Max Stanford and a brother David Shewmaker (deceased).

Services will be held on April 29, 2025 at 12 pm at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home with visitation before from 10 am – 12 pm.
