Carol Lisa Scruggs, 50, a lifelong resident, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 25, 2011 at home while surrounded by her loved ones after a brief, but courageous battle with brain cancer.
She was born in Melbourne, FL on May 25, 1961 to Frank and Margaret Wallschlager. She was a beloved daughter and sister, loving wife, wonderful Mother, Grandma, and friend. She loved horses, boating, biking, and spending time with her family and 4 dogs. She was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, and brother Tim Wallschlager.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, David W. Scruggs, Sr, her two children Jacquelyn (Richard) Norris, and David (Elena) Scruggs; grandchildren, Tori, Richie, Sean, Hannah, Davie, and Jack; siblings, Sharon Keil, Michael Wallschlager, Kathy Adams; sister-in-laws, Laurie and Cheryl Wallschlager; in-laws David and Norma Scruggs; and many nieces and nephews.
In memory of her life, there will be a Celebration of Life get-together at Bowe Gardens Baptist Church, 2700 Sarno Rd, Melbourne, FL, on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 5pm until 7:30 pm. All who knew and loved Carol are invited to attend.
