Carole Marie Chickering, 77, of Barefoot Bay, FL died January 21, 2010 at the Life Care Center of Palm Bay in Palm Bay, FL.
Mrs. Chickering was born December 21, 1932 in Flushing, New York and moved to Barefoot Bay 13 years ago from Lindenhurst, NY.
She graduated from Mary Louis Academy, Jamaica Estates, NY. Mrs. Chickering was an accomplished pianist and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York as a young girl. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and St. Luke Catholic Church in Sebastian.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Howard G. Chickering of Barefoot Bay, her children; Charlene Lawson of West Bayshore, NY, Arthur McKeon of Center Moriches, NY, Jeanine Johnson of Oakdale, NY, Brendan McKeon of Lindenhurst, NY, Thomas McKeon of Lindenhurst, NY and Kathleen McKeon-Canzoneri of Barefoot Bay, FL, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband Arthur McKeon, her son Sean McKeon and her brother Elmer Wurtz.
Services: The family will receive friends from 2-4, 6-8 PM, Saturday, January 23, 2010 and 2-4 PM, Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian, FL. A service will be held 7:00 PM, Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Seawinds Funeral Home.
