Carole R. McLaughlin, 81, died on November 3, 2018, following a long illness. She was born in Malden, MA on February 16, 1937, to parents Carl and Anne Lange. She graduated from St. Michael's High School in Hudson, MA in 1954 and from Framingham School of Nursing in 1957. She had an active career as a Registered Nurse and an Operating Room Nurse for nearly forty years.

In 1995, Carole and her husband, William, moved to Vero Beach where she served for several years as president of their Home Owners Association, president of The Rose Society, and as a volunteer with Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute and ORCA.

In addition to her late parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Martha Anne Sively, Dr. Robert Lange, and Richard Lange. She is survived by her husband, as well as by several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her dear friend and caregiver, Laurie Hefner.

Private services will be held in Vero Beach, FL, followed by graveside services and interment in Southborough, MA. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
