IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Louise
Foote
December 9, 1934 – November 10, 2023
Carolyn L. Foote, 88, of Fort Pierce, Florida went to her heavenly home on November 10, 2023 after a long illness. Carolyn was born to the late Louise H. (Pelgen) and Carl H. Wood in Springfield, Massachusetts on December 9, 1934.
After graduating from Trade High School, Carolyn began a 25-year long career with Milton Bradley Company in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. After retiring from Milton Bradley Carolyn began a new career as Parish Administrator for St. Mark's Episcopal Church, her home for worship, where she worked for 9 years.
With an adventurous spirit, Carolyn fulfilled a lifelong dream of living in the warm sunny state of Florida, moving to Fort Pierce in 2007. She quickly joined in her community becoming very active in the New England Club where she put her computer skills to work helping in many areas behind the scenes.
Carolyn's love for dance was evident throughout her life. She taught dance in her teens and young adult years focusing on ballet and tap. She was known to dance around her home even up to the year before her death. Carolyn married the late William L. Foote (the love of her life) and enjoyed many years of ballroom dancing together. Every time they took the floor; their love for each other and for dancing was
easy to see.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters Susan Broga of Fort Pierce, Florida; Diana (Bill) Morrow of Agawam, Massachusetts; and granddaughter Bonnie Richter of Chicopee, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her sisters Muriel Fearn; Iris Braica; and Virginia (Ginger) Dubord, along with many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind 2 dear friends, Joan and Richard Morello of Fort Pierce, Florida.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Mark's Church on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 1pm. St. Mark's Church is located at One Porter Rd. East Longmeadow, MA 01028.
