She was born to the late Raymond Flannigan and Hazel( Heal) Flannigan on December 17, 1943 in Belknap, Illinois. Carolyn graduated from Metropolis Community High School in 1961. Carolyn married Robert D. Riley October 6, 1962 in Metropolis, Illinois and later moving to Bristol Indiana for 50 yrs. Later remarried to Frank Griems in 2015.

Carolyn had driven escort while assisting her husband on the road in the mobile home transportation career over 20 yrs. Later Co- driven & delivered travel trailers across the country for 10 yrs. Before retiring she ran her own house cleaning service.

She enjoyed traveling & sightseeing, visiting lighthouses, and novel reader. She enjoyed attending grandchildren activities.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters Lisa Riley (Brian) of Ohio, Robin Miller(Sol) of Tennessee. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren Christopher Miller( Rocio), Bradly Miller, Austin Riley, Tyler Miller (Carrie), Morgan Riley. And 2 great- grandchildren Christopher Miller, and Isabella Miller. Among 2 surviving siblings Mary Louise (Flannigan) Griffey of Indiana, Linda(Hodge) Wood of Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by first husband Robert Riley, and 3 brothers Clifford Flannigan, Donald Flannigan, and Ronnie Flannigan.

Family will be having a Going Home Celebration at a later date in Indiana
