Cassie William Emanuel, Jr.(Bill), also known to his many friends and family as C-Dub, lost his courageous battle with cancer on the 26th of August. He passed away surrounded by his loving family at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Bill was born in Macon, GA on July 12, 1944 and moved to Vero Beach in 1966. Following a tour of duty with the U.S. Army (Korea) he worked for the Jack Barry Company before starting his own business in 1974 called the C.W. Emanuel Company which he enjoyed running with much success until recently.
Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years Tamson-Lynn Tammy Emanuel of Vero Beach; son Cass William Emanuel III (Amanda) of Vero Beach; daughter Heather Emanuel Kraft of Vero Beach and three loving grandchildren, Zack Miles and Kendahl-Lynn Kraft and Haylei-Rebecca Emanuel. He also leaves behind a sister Sylvia Jenkins (Allan) of Greenville, SC; brother Frank Emanuel of Albany, GA, and many nieces and nephews, in-laws and outlaws.
Bill was preceded in death by his father C.W. Emanuel, Sr., his mother Martha Rebecca Emanuel and a sister Patricia Catron.
Services: A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 31, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church, 1750 20th Street, Vero Beach where Bill and his family were members. An interment will follow at a later date in the Georgia family plot.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the VNA/ Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
