Obit: Catherine Theresa Hollis

Catherine Theresa Hollis, 76, of Fellsmere, FL died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, FL.

Mrs. Hollis was born January 2, 1936 in Yonkers, NY and moved to Fellsmere in 2004 from Florida City, FL.

She had been a School Bus Driver for the Southampton Public School System in New York. Mrs. Hollis was an active member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL and a member of Our Lady of Poland in Southampton, NY where she taught religion and was a Eucharistic Minister.

Survivors include her three daughters, Georgann Schreiber of Fellsmere, FL, Karen Martin of East Hampton, NY and Alison Cloute of Vero Beach, FL; a son William Richard Hollis, Jr. of Marathon, FL; two brothers George Pisacano of Jackson, NJ and Michael Piscano of Vierra, FL; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Richard Hollis and a grandson Stephen Hollis.

Service: The family will receive friends 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Mass will be celebrated 10 AM, Thursday, January 12, 2012 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Interment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
