Catherine L. Spute, 92, of Aston Gardens at Parkland Commons, Parkland, Florida died December 26, 2010, after a brief illness. Her smile lit up a room and her love touched everyone she met.
She was born August 21, 1918, in Randolph, N. Y. Her husband of 50+ years, Harold, predeceased her. After Harold s retirement they moved from Hamburg, N. Y. to Spanish Lakes Country Club in Ft. Pierce, FL. After Harold passed away she relocated to Parkland to be closer to her immediate family.
Mrs. Spute was a generous woman who graciously volunteered her time. She was a passionate sports enthusiast and excelled in golf and bowling.
Surviving are two sons, H. William Spute, Jr., Parkland, FL and James M. Spute, Hamburg, N.Y.; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
"A mother is she who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take."
Catherine will forever be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. She will be sadly missed and always loved by her family and friends.
