Charles T. Borgia, of Vero Beach, Florida (formerly of Scranton, Pa.) died October 25, 2014, at the VNA Hospice House.
He served in the U.S. Army and was employed for 28 years with the Scranton Police Department finishing his career as a City Detective.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara Farrell Borgia, daughter, Raeanne Borgia Cone and her husband, Scott Cone, grandchildren, Ella and Brandon Cone, and his faithful friend and companion, Marley, brothers, Joseph Borgia, and wife, Millie, Louis Borgia, and wife, Bess, Michael Borgia, and wife Janet, Frank Borgia and wife , Nancy, Sam Borgia and wife, Dorothy, Ralph Borgia and wife, Mary, and James Borgia, brother-in-law, Kevin Farrell and wife, Madeline of Scranton and sister-in-law, Penny Farrell of Philadelphia, PA, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Frank and Fannie Nardella Borgia and brothers Anthony and John Borgia.
Charles was born and raised in the Bull's Head section of Scranton and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, in-law and friend.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Rehabilitation Center for their compassion and care for Charles.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Friday, October 31, 2014 at St John of the Cross Catholic Church by Celebrant Rev. Michael A. Massaro.
