Charles "Chuck" Janovsky (82) of Vero Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at VNA Hospice House on January 6th, 2023. Chuck was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 12, 1940. He grew up and went to high school in Huntington, NY.He served in the US Army as SP5. Upon his return to US he attended State University of New York and Dowling College where he earned his Masters Degree in Business Adminstration. He was involved with the designing and functioning of helicopter and submarine simulators.

He is dearly missed by his loving wife Connie, daughters Cheryl Haughie of Ronkonkoma, NY and Lori Henry of Cary, NC, sister Mary Hansen of Huntington, NY, cousin Wally Britten of Rocky Point, NY., grandson Daniel Haughie and granddaughters Savannah Haughie and Sarah Henry.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles J. and Lily Janovsky and beloved sister Paula Lundgren.

Chuck was active in his church St. Helen Catholic church as EMHC. He was Council President of SVDeP and was proud to serve the community as a volunteer in the Vero Beach and Sebastian offices. Chuck was a proud member of the local chapter of Knights of Columbus for 23 years, attained
4th Degree status and was a member of the Color Corps. He was also a licensed US Merchant Marine Officer In US Coast Guard.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church on Monday, Jan. 16th at noon with reception to follow at Knights of Columbus Hall.

Interment and Military Honors will be at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
