Charles Thorne's Obituary
Charles Thorne, 80, of Vero Beach, Florida died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Thorne was born November 23, 1927 in Roselle Park, New Jersey and moved to Vero Beach 26 years ago.
He was a veteran of WW II having served in the United States Navy and a Mechanical and Quality Assurance Engineer for the Singer Corporation for 38 years.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Irene, daughters Brenda and Nancy, five grandchildren Rebecca, Justin, Brant, Sara and Annie, three great-grandchildren Domenic, Giovanna and Abagail.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Samaritan Center of Vero Beach, 3650 41st Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32967.
