Charles Travers, 77, of Fort Pierce, Florida, died peacefully on Thursday, December 8, 2016, with his family by his side.
"Charlie" as he was affectionately known by friends and family, was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 3, 1939 to the late Hugh and Annie Travers. He was one of four sons, with brothers Larry, and the late Bobby and Richie. He later moved to North Babylon, Long Island, where he married Fannie Lococo. They had three children, Denise, Koren and their late son, Andrew, sons-in-law, Jonathan and Marcus, and daughter-in-law, Carlene.
Charlie is survived by grandchildren, Vanessa, Gavin, Andrew Jr and Jayce; nephews, Frank, Brian, Richie and Wayne; niece, Barbara; sisters-in-law, Rosalie and Stephanie. He was also like a second father to the Riccardis, Michael, Tina, Christopher, Dean, Joanne and the late Ricky.
Charlie enjoyed long time friendships with the Cesare/Lynch family, Linda, the late Michael, Hope, Danny, Michele and Matthew; Terry and Michael Trivisani and Paulette Mees.
He was employed as a Police Service Technician for Florida Atlantic University at the time of his death.
Charlie loved everyone in his life unconditionally and was always there for them. He was loved by all who knew him and he will truly be missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Helen Catholic Church.
