White
November 19, 1937 – September 9, 2020
Charlotte Rose White, 82, of Vero Beach passed away Wednesday September 9. 2020 with her
family by her side.
Charlotte was born to the late Gerald Deward and Dora May Logsdon on November 19. 1937 in
Louisville, KY. Charlotte meet the love of her life, Charles "Tig" White, 71 years ago. They
celebrated their 66 th wedding anniversary on January 12 th of this year. They had two children
David Ray White and Diane Rose White. Charlotte and Tig moved to Fort Pierce on Halloween
Day 1960. They went on to raise two of their grandchildren, Nicholas Tzimenatos and Charlotte
Nacole Suarez.
Charlotte was a vital part of her community and family. She was very active and will be missed.
She has been a beautician, a school bus driver, a café manager, a social worker a probation
officer and a confidant to so many in this community. She helped to start the Fort Pierce branch
of the Salvation Army. Charlotte was able to minster to countless souls, regardless of their
social or spiritual status. She showed grace as the director of the Probation Department of the
Salvation Army and she showed endless compassion when she transitioned to lead the Social
Service department of the Salvation Army. She was active for years in recruiting and ministering
to at risk youth. Charlotte also ministered to many adults through her adult Sunday school
class. She will be missed by countless people who leaned on her for comfort when they needed
it most. Charlotte is considered a Saint by her family and this community.
Charlotte leaves behind the love of her life Charles "Tig" White, her adoring son David White,
her beloved younger brother Duke Logsdon; her loving grandchildren, Nicholas Tzimeantos,
Charlotte Nacole Suarez, Sarah White, Faith White, Erik Rapprich, Timothy White and Savannah
White. She also leaves behind 7 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September, 12, 2020 from 3-6. There will be a service
beginning at 6:00 pm at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Salvation Army.
