Chester Vincent Skizim's Obituary
Chester Vincent Skizim, 89, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach after an extended illness.
Mr. Skizim was born May 22, 1919 in Pennsylvania and moved to Vero Beach in 1996 from Elmira, NY.
Prior to retirement he had been a goldsmith and was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Mr. Skizim was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Eleanore R. Skizim of Vero Beach, two sons, Gregory Skizim of Rochester, NY and Daniel Skizim of Dallas, TX, three brothers, Walter Skiscim of Vero Beach, Anthony Skiscim of Alexandria, VA and Lawrence Skiscim of North Carolina, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers Michael, John and Paul Skiscim, and a sister Josephine Kapalko.
Services: A Mass will be celebrated at a later date.
