Christopher S. Miller, 80, of Vero Beach passed away on March 8, 2019.

He was born in Washington, D.C. on February 10, 1939 to George and Eleanor Miller. Chris graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, D.C. and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland.  He was lovingly married to his high school sweetheart, Sally Barlow Smith-Miller, for 57 years.

Chris worked for most of his life as a self-employed corporate insurance and office equipment leasing businessman. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his three sons and lifelong high school friends.  He also enjoyed working on the several farms he owned in Virginia and New Zealand.

Chris lived a full life, filled with many exciting adventures to Alaska, Canada and travels around the world, and published several articles in national sporting and outdoor magazines.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; brothers, George Miller (Laura) of Arlington, VA, Dennis Johnston (Susie) of Asheville, NC and Tim Miller (Marni) of Gaithersburg, MD; sons, C. Scott Miller, Jr. (Valerie) of Melbourne Beach, FL, F. Brett Miller (Jill) of Easley, SC and Todd M. Miller (Jennifer) of Wauchula, FL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Virginia at a later date.
