Clara Lee Hegwood, 100, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born October 2, 1908 in Chattanooga County, GA and moved to Vero Beach in the 1940's from La Fayette, GA.
Mrs. Hegwood had worked for Wodtkes Department Stores and Daphnes and was a member of Kings Baptist Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her two daughters Terri Hegwood and Linda Young both of Vero Beach; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter Julia Mitchum, and grandsons Bille "Cowboy" Young and Tommy Mitchum.
Service: A gathering will take place 2-4 PM, Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach for family and friends.
