Obit: Claude G. Blanchard
Claude G. Blanchard, 85 of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Blanchard was born October 24, 1925 in Waterloo, Quebec, Canada and has been a part time resident of Vero Beach from Westwood, NJ since 1991 and then Lakewood, NJ since 1999.
He was a union electrician and worked for IBEW in Jersey City, NJ and then General Motors in Linden, NJ. Mr. Blanchard was a veteran of WW II serving in the Royal Canadian 22nd regiment. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include wife of 59 years Germaine Blanchard of Vero Beach; two sons Alan (Wendy) Blanchard of New City, NY and Colin (Tia) Blanchard of Mays Landing, NJ; two brothers Philippe Blanchard and Jacques Blanchard of Canada; five grandchildren Olivia Rae, Caiden, Chase, Mathew and Nicole; and a great granddaughter Rose; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Service: A memorial service will take place at St. Mary's by the Lake in Lakewood, NJ.
