Cody W. Slechta, 17, of Vero Beach, FL passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center on Sunday, October 21, 2012.
Mr. Slechta was born February 25, 1995 in Vero Beach, FL and was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach, FL.
He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.
Survivors include his Mother Laurie Powell Slechta of Vero Beach, FL; Father Scott Slechta of Palm Bay, FL; brothers Daniel Powell of Farmington, MN, Josh Donaldson and Scott Slechta Jr both of Vero Beach, FL; sisters Nicole Adams of Enterprise, AL and Tiffani Slechta of Islamorada, FL; Paternal grandfather Edward Slechta Sr; Maternal grandfather and grandmother Frankie and Louise Powell of Harvery, ND.
A memorial service will be held at 5 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Vero Beach, FL. An additional memorial service will be held at a later date.
