Colburn Macgill Martin's Obituary
Colburn MacGill Martin, 87, of Heron Cay, Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Martin was born June 12, 1920 in Catonsville, MD and moved to Vero Beach in 1986 from Portsmouth, RI.
He was a Quality Control Engineer for the Raytheon Company in Portsmouth, RI before his retirement and served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Mr. Martin was a member of the U.S. Chess Federation and published poetry in 15 different magazines.
Survivors include his wife Kathleen Martin of Vero Beach; daughter Nancy Kathleen Hanson of Newark, DE and son Ronald Matthew Martin of Tewksbury, MA.
