Obit: Cora E. Stone

Cora E. Stone, 79, of Fort Pierce, FL died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Kindred Hospital in Riviera Beach, FL.

Mrs. Stone was born September 15, 1931 in Detroit, MI and moved to Fort Pierce 50 years ago from Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

She had been a courier for the News Tribune for 22 years and was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her son Michael Lee Stone of San Diego, CA; son Lee Edward Stone, Jr. of Winnfield, LA; son Walter Allen Stone of Greensburg, IN; daughter Deborah Jaracuaro of Key West, FL; son Robert Allen Stone of Port St. Lucie, FL; son Garrison Lester Stone of Port St. Lucie, FL; son Joel E. Stone of Fort Pierce, FL; two brothers Frank L. Earp of Cranston, RI and Joseph E. Earp of Lake Placid, FL; a sister Lillian Olson of Chico, CA; and twelve grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Nolan D. King, Jr. and a son Dale Lester Stone.

Services: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM, Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM, Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Todd officiating. Interment will follow at White City Cemetery in White City, FL.
