Cyril Leonard Schock, Jr, 77, of Vero Beach, passed away at his home, October 3, 2020.

He was born March 12, 1943 at Coaldale ( Schuykill County), Pennsylvania to the late Cyril Schock and Helen Maurer Schock.

Cyril moved to Vero on a houseboat in the mid 60's after graduating from Mahanoy Area Senior High School. It was here in Vero that he would meet and marry Mary Magdalene Powell with whom he would have two sons.

He started working as a pool contractor in the early 70s but later gave that up to pursue his own tree business. He loved his work and he had a true gift and talent to maintain God's creation, from the smallest of shrubs to the largest of Oaks.  He was a natural landscape architect.

He later started a lawn and landscaping business to go along with his tree service, at John's Island. He has been out there since it's beginning and knew so many of the people and their families. Compassionately known as "Chuck the tree man" or "Mangrove Chuck" he would always have a story to tell.

He leaves behind two sons, Charles Leslie Schock and wife Rose, and Harold Leonard Schock; step children, Dale Timothy Spurlock and Tama Lee Ray Edwards; and his grandson, Charles Leslie Schock Jr.(your big boy); two granddaughters, Samantha and Taylor Schock; a sister, Marion Lewis-Guyer; brothers, Lamar and Arthur Schock; and many other loving family & friends.

Out of sight, but never out of mind, we will continue to love and miss you, Pops. Your legacy will continue on as we will continue to "tell it like it is".

May you enjoy God's Kingdom until we will see you again.

It was Chuck's wish that his ashes be spread in the mangroves out in Johns Island, that's how invested his time was out there.
