Daniel J. Ford, 93, of Vero Beach, FL died May 13, 2012 at the Indian River Medical Center.

Mr. Ford was born August 24, 1918 in Hartford, CT. He had been a resident of Vero Beach, FL since 2002 coming from Simsbury, CT.

Mr. Ford served in the United States Army Reserves, and retired as a Major.

Prior to his retirement he was the Vice President of Emhart Glass.

He was of the Catholic faith and attended Saint John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL. He was a member of the Hopmeadow Country Club in Simsbury, CT.

Survivors include his nephew Ed Ford Jr. of Tampa, FL, and niece Sue Mullaney of Rockfall, CT.

He is now back together again with his wife of 62 years, Mary Ford who passed away in 2007. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Sam, Teddy, Ed and Fran.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Saint John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, FL. Burial will be in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield, CT.

Arrangements are under the care of Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach, FL. Out of state arrangements are entrusted to Vincent's Funeral Home in Simsbury, CT.
