It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel H. Witts announces his passing on December 21, 2018 at the age of 97.
At the young age of 21, Daniel enlisted in the United States Army and was a member of the 45th Infantry Division. He served 44 months during World War II, fought in four invasions and saw 511 day of combat. Two Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, 8 campaign stars and World War II Victory Medal are among some of the medals he was awarded.
Mr. Witts was predeceased by his wife of 20 years, Helen A. Witts and two step-children, Joseph J. Norbeck and Thomas Norbeck. He leaves his memories to be cherished by his step-children, Helen (Gregory) Uff of Fort Pierce, Dr. Maribeth (Dr. Wes) Payne of MO, Robert (Ruthann) Norbeck of Delaware, William Norbeck or Lake Worth and Bud (Dorothy) MacFarland of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
At Daniel's request, there will be no services. Mr. and Mrs. Witts will rest in peace at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
