Danny Rushing, 52, of Vero Beach, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the Indian River Medical Center.

Mr. Rushing was born January 28, 1961 in East St. Louis, IL. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 25 years, coming from Edwardsville, IL.

Prior to his death he worked as a house painter.

Survivors include his son, Danny Rushing Jr; daughter, Stephanie Rushing; son, Jessie Rushing; sisters, Joyce (Darryl) Chapman of Edwardsville, IL; Peggy Smith of Vero Beach; Joann Rushing of Greenville, KY; brother, David Rushing of Vero Beach; sister, Donna Hopkins of Granite City, IL; Gloria Rushing of Hawaii; brother, Terry (Rose) Atkins of Granite City, IL; sister, Wanda (Charlie) Polley of Granite City, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Clara Rushing and sister, Barbara Simpson

Services: A visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
