David "Dave" Daniel Bowen, Sr., 85, of Vero Beach, died suddenly on Monday, December 21, 2020.
Dave was born to the late David John Bowen and Elizabeth Smith on June 18, 1935. He was raised in Pine Hill, New Jersey, served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Hammerberg, and received the National Defense Service Medal.
In his early years, Dave was a Semi Truck Driver, and a diesel mechanic for Atlantic City Transportation. He later enjoyed his time as a Limo Driver for Steve Winn at the Golden Nugget, and also for Donald Trump at the Taj Mahal Casinos in Atlantic City, NJ.
Dave was a member of the Inlet Social Club in Atlantic City, NJ. He was an avid Horseman, who loved all things outdoors: fishing, hunting, and boating. His passion was being on the water and watching sports. Dave was funny, quick-witted, and always had a joke ready for anyone.
Dave was predeceased by his brother, Charles Bowen and Grandson David Daniel Bowen, III. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 67 years, Jane. His sister Betty (Charles) Weber, his children; Jayne (James) Campbell, Barbara (Carl) Mutschler, David (Catherine) Bowen Jr., and Charles (Dawn) Bowen. As well as 12 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Services at the convenience of his family.
