David Anthony Chambless, 78, of Vero Beach went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 16, 2020.

He was born to the late Cecil Chambless and Beatrice Laughridge Chambless on February 19, 1942 in West Palm Beach, Florida. After moving to Vero Beach, he and his family attended First Baptist Church.

David was a 1960 graduate of Vero Beach High School and attended Palm Beach Junior College.

He married the love of his life, Corinn Rogers, on August 21, 1964 at First Baptist Church in Vero Beach, recently celebrating 55 years of marriage.

David's young life was filled with a love of all sports including Little League and basketball. After High School he became an avid tennis player who was highly competitive and rated in the state of Florida. He had a servant's heart ready and willing to serve in any capacity. He was a devoted husband and father to his three daughters and a much beloved grandfather to his five grandchildren. He was gifted with a tremendous sense of humor and loved making people laugh.  David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, camping in North Carolina and traveling with his wife. One of his greatest joys later in life was playing with his five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his daughter Robin Lambert in 2016.

He is survived by his wife Corinn; daughters, Jona Jeremy and husband Brent of Vero Beach, and Sheila Cornelius and husband Rob of Trinidad, Colorado; son in law Ron Lambert of Vero Beach; one brother, Ed Chambless of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Kevin Lambert and wife Kendi , Rebecca Lambert, Keith Lambert, Morgan Jeremy and Savannah Jeremy, all of Vero Beach.

A celebration of his life will be held 3:00 Friday, October 23, 2020 at Cox-Gifford Seawinds .
