David Francis LaPorte, 69, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. LaPorte was born June 16, 1941 in Detroit, MI and was longtime resident of Indian River County.
He had been a General Contractor and owner of LaPorte Construction prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
His survivors include a son Matt LaPorte of Vero Beach; sister Joyce (Doug) Wild of Vero Beach; brother Bob (Mary Ann) LaPorte of Vero Beach; brother Dennis (Carissa) LaPorte of Palatka, FL; sister Linda (Jim) VonPlinsky of Valkaria, FL; sister Jeanne (Mike) Long of Crestview, FL; sister Janet (Ralph Geiger) Askew of Vero Beach; sister Diane (Paul) Steinke of Vero Beach; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Margaret Dupuis LaPorte, and a brother John LaPorte.
Service: Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
