Mrs. Dean Lockwood (Calfee) died peacefully on December 20, 2014 in Vero Beach, Florida.

She was born September 8, 1929 in Belhaven, North Carolina to Worth Calfee and Sarah Chauncey. She united in marriage to David Lockwood and made their home in Juno Beach, FL for 35 years, Cary, NC, for twelve years before moving Indian River Estates, Vero Beach. She was a Business Teacher for the Palm Beach County School District and served as the Chairman of the Business Department of the North Technical Education Center in Rivera Beach for some 25 years before retiring.

Besides her husband of 55 years, David Lockwood, she is survived by one daughter Nancy D. Lockwood of Newtoning, GA; a daughter-in-law Dorothy T. Lockwood and a grandson, James David Lockwood both of Palm Beach County.
She was predeceased by one son; James David Lockwood and grandson Dean Edward Lockwood both of Palm Beach County. One sister and two brothers; Dorothy Calfee, Worth Calfee and James Calfee all of Belhaven, NC.

She was an active member at the Riverside Park United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, FL where she was married to David in 1960, the First United Methodist Church in Melbourne, FL, Oceanview Methodist Church in Juno Beach where she was President of the United Methodist Women, White Plains United Methodist Church in
Cary, NC and the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, January 24th, 2015, at 1:00pm, at the Indian River Estates West in the Carter Chapel, 7730 Indian Oaks Drive, Vero Beach, FL. A luncheon will follow the service.

A private interment will take place at the Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 County Line Road in Tequesta, Florida.
