Dembo Carthon, 71, of Wabasso, FL died Monday, March 2, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Carthon was born March 2, 1938 in Malone, FL and moved to Wabasso in 1941 from Port St. Joe, FL
He had worked for Minnis Construction and was a member of the St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Carthon of Wabasso; godson Michael Phillips of Gifford, FL; thirteen step-children; numerous grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and relatives.
Services: The family will receive friends 6-8 PM, Friday, March 6, 2009 at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church in Wabasso. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2009 at St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jerome Bell officiating. Interment will follow at Wabasso Cemetery in Wabasso, FL.
