IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dennis Richard
Lipofsky
August 11, 1955 – August 7, 2025
Dennis Lipofsky, 69, passed away on August 7, 2025, in Vero Beach, Florida. Born on August 11, 1955, in Boston, Massachusetts, Dennis lived a life filled with hard work, adventure, and love for his family.
He grew up in Natick, Massachusetts, graduating from Natick High School in 1973. In his early years, he worked in auto body repair and insurance appraising before following his calling to help others. Dennis became an EMT, earned his fire and paramedic certifications at Indian River State College, and proudly served with the City of Stuart Fire and Rescue in Florida. After moving to Murphy, North Carolina, Dennis began a new chapter as a table games dealer at a local casino. His career reflected his deep commitment to public safety and caring for his community, paired with a little fun.
Dennis had a lifelong love of the water and the open road. He took great pride in restoring his 1955 Chevy, spent countless hours boating, fishing, and waterskiing, and loved the thrill of riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed camping and being outdoors, finding peace in nature. After retiring, he began playing poker several times a week, where he built lasting friendships.
Family was at the center of everything Dennis did. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 44 years, Judy; his children Sharon Lipofsky; Steven Lipofsky and wife Jennifer; Susan Dunbar and husband Ricky; and Robert Lipofsky and wife Mariana. He was the proud grandfather of Lily and Preston Dunbar, Emma and Andrew Lipofsky, and Lucy Lipofsky. He also leaves behind his sisters Gail Lorber (Walter), Tina Friedman, and Michelle Goldstein (Mark); many loving nieces and nephews; and countless friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Miriam Lipofsky.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 12:00–2:00 PM at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 1950 20th Street, Vero Beach, Florida. In keeping with Dennis's preference for comfort and ease, casual dress is encouraged.
In honor of Dennis memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County.
Dennis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and adventure will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
