Domenica "Mae" Piumelli, 90, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on November 5, 2014 after a long vibrant life.

She was born March 13, 1924 in New York City and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 36 years. Mae was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She enjoyed her friends and family, gardened daily and was an inspiration to many.

She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Piumelli Petrosa; sons, Fred (Dianna) Piumelli, Nicholas Vincent (Lori) Piumelli, Jr., Michael Patrick Piumelli; sister, Concetta (Anthony) Guerriero; brothers, Vincent (Loretta) Abbate and Rocco (Nancy) Abbate; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Vincent Piumelli and her daughter, Jacqueline Piumelli Napolitano.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 8th from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm and again Sunday, November 9th from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am, Monday, November 10th at St. Helen Catholic Church followed by burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Ft. Pierce, FL.
