Obituary

Donald Kenneth Brown, 81 of Vero Beach, died Wednesday, August 29 at VNA Hospice House after sharing time with family and friends.

Don was born in Detroit, Michigan to Kenneth and Ruth Brown on October 17, 1936. He earned his Masters degree from Wayne State University in education and was captain of the tennis team. After graduating, Don went on to teach and was the boy's tennis coach at Cranbrook Kingswood in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. As a tennis professional, Don received honors as "USTA" national coach of the year and also high school national coach of the year.  As head coach of the Cranbrook boys tennis team he lead them to 16 state titles and 8 runner ups during his tenure.

Don was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and as a leader of the men's F.O.C.U.S. and Fellowship Group in Vero Beach.

He is survived by his wife Susan and his five children Bonnie, Matt, Dana, Don, Ann and his 10 grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach.
