Donald Butler, 91, died April 9, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born and raised in New York City, and was a graduate of Pace College in New York.
He served in the Army Air Force during WWII.
He raised his family in West Islip, Long Island, and commuted to Manhattan for 30 years, where he was the Corporate Secretary and Accountant for an Import Export firm.
Don and his wife, Martha retired to Florida in 1987 where he was an avid golfer at Vista Plantation and Sandridge Golf Club.
He and Martha enjoyed many summers golfing and visiting family on Frye Island, Maine.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Martha, their son, Tom Butler of Vero Beach; daughter, Linda Gibson of Winthrop, MA; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Butler.
Services will be held at a later date in St. Charles Chapel and Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY.
