Donald J. Laudeman, Sr., 74, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at home in Barefoot Bay, surrounded by family. He went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Don was born in Shenandoah, PA, to the late Ellsworth and Ruth Laudeman on January 15, 1937.
Donald moved to Barefoot Bay 12 years ago from Rockaway Township, NJ.
He was a pressman, having worked at Hammer Press in Parsippany, NJ, and Compton Press in Morris Plains, NJ. He was a member of Grace Gathering Church in Sebastian, and the Moose Lodge. Don enjoyed fishing, woodworking, traveling, and watching his favorite sports teams.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lois Laudeman, , son, Donald Laudeman Jr of Riviera Beach, FL, daughter Susan Bell and her husband Alan of Gloucester, MA, 4 grandchildren, Jason Laudeman, Megan Laudeman, Samuel Bell, and Noah Bell, and sister Kay Majek and her husband Walter of Metuchen, NJ.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 11AM at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel in Sebastian. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Judes Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
