Donald Joseph Scerra, 67 years of age, loving father and devoted friend died peacefully at his home October 27, 2014.

He was born in Gardener, Massachusetts on July 1, 1947 and the son of the late Farndy and Bertha Scerra.

Donnie was a 1966 graduate of Narragansett Regional High School and attended Mount Wachusett Community College.

Donald was a United States Air Force Vietnam veteran.

He retired from Digital Comqap, H.P., seven years ago and resided in Vero Beach, Florida.

Donnie enjoyed working around his home, golfing, bowling, cooking for family and friends, gardening, riding his motorcycle names Sophia, and helping others.

His main priority in life always remained his family.

Donald was a member of the V.F.W., The Lions Club, The American Legion, The Templeton Fish and Gun Club. He was a proud Freedom Rider, as well as an escort for The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall.

He leaves three sons, Nathan Flint of Petersham, Massachusetts, Michael and Patrick Scerra of Gardner, Massachusetts, four grandchildren, Zachary, Alijah, Silas, Maia, one brother, Louis and wife, Lynne Scerra of Winchendon, Massachusetts, two sisters, Michele and husband, Stuart Jenkins of Vero Beach, Florida, Celeste Scerra of Athol, Massachusetts, several nieces, nephews, and many cousins. He also leaves his loving companion, Patti Seitz.

He was predeceased by one brother, Michael John Scerra.

Burial will take place at the Veterans Cemetery in Winchendon, Massachusetts at a later date.
