Doris Jane Piatt, 77, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday, December 17, 2007 at her home in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Piatt was born October 22, 1930 in Yellow Springs, Ohio and moved to Vero Beach in 1976 from Brooksville, FL.
Prior to her retirement she was employed by Piper Aircraft for 21 years as an aircraft upholsterer.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years Mac C. Piatt of Vero Beach; daughter Melissa Matakaetis of Vero Beach; sons Brian Bean of Spring Hill, FL and George Bean Jr. of Nobleton, FL; brothers Bobby Drake of Defuniak Springs, FL and Jimmy Drake of Hogansville, GA; twin sister Lois King of Vero Beach; sisters Suzie Stansell of NC, Mary Ann Meredith of Panama City, FL, Patty Ratlay of Dublin, GA and Dolly Drake of Frisco, TX ; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services: The family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM, Friday, December 21, 2007 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero beach with entombment following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
