Dorismae Brunell-Parvin, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully at her home on May 3, 2026.

Dorie was born on September 6, 1930 to Charles and Eleanora Merzke in Webster New York. She lived in upstate New York until moving to Vero Beach, FL in 1978.

Dorie retired after many years in the accounting industry, where she dedicated her career to serving as an office manager. She will be remembered for her hard work, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.

Dorie was predeceased by Robert Parvin whom she married in Florida in 1990. They adored each other and their life together, including 3 years spent living on a sailboat and participation in the founding of their church.

Dorie was known for her boundless energy and her generous and caring nature. Her home was always shared with people and animals who needed a place to stay and a helping hand.

Dorie is survived by her son, Gene Brunell, daughters Laurel Tart and Kathleen Snyder, grandchildren Chloe Law, Moriah Tart, Holly Brunell, and Nicole Kufa and 9 great grand-children. She is also survived by her loving family at Cornerstone Christian Church.

Services and interment will be held in Vero Beach at a later date.
