Dorothy A. Flanagan, 86, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Flanagan was born October 11, 1924 in Rock Rift, NY and moved to Vero Beach thirty years ago from Greensboro, NC.
She had worked for the FBI, Bakelite Corp., and Rockland County Court in New York. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach as well as a former member of the Polish Club, the Italian Club and a current member of the Vero Beach Womens Club.
Survivors include her two sons Hugh Flanagan of Oswego, NY and Tim Flanagan of Gig Harbor, WA; a daughter Doreen Joseph of Rochelle Park, NJ; two brothers Donald Hendrickson of Bellingham, WA and Ray Hendrickson of Highland Mills, NY; a sister Kay Thompson of Horseheads, NY; and seven grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years .
The family will receive friends 4-7 PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. Mass will be celebrated 10 AM, Thursday, December 30, 2010 at St. Helen Catholic Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Ft. Pierce, FL.
