Dorothy Esther Love, 89, of Vero Beach, FL died on November 20, 2016. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Frank and Lucy Lombard, Dorothy graduated from Westinghouse High School in 1944. Seated alphabetically in their ninth grade Physics class, she met her future husband, Eugene Love. They married soon after the end of WWII, moved to Miami, FL on their honeymoon and never looked back. Who knew a one cent fortune tell card from the local amusement park would predict she'd marry a Scotsman and have eight little Scotties!

Dorothy was a long-time parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Hialeah prior to moving to Vero 25 years ago and joining St. Helen Parish. She cherished her family, loved her husband and best friend, yellow roses, and the morning sun shining through the windows. Dorothy was a woman of great wisdom and wit with endless time and energy to give her family. She never forgot a birthday and took tremendous pride in her children. She enjoyed cooking, baking pies, singing old songs, watching old movies, dancing with Gene, crossword puzzles, reading, yard work, and endless family get-togethers.

Survivors include her sons: Arthur, Stephen, Jeffrey, and James (Glenda); her daughters: Margaret (Michael), Patricia (William), Susan, and Luciann; her sister, Anna Mae; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of nearly 69 years, Francis Eugene Love, two sisters, a brother, and a grandson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 3, 2016, and then inurned at the FL National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with her late husband. "Forever in Our Hearts"
