Dorothy H. Schroer's Obituary
Dorothy H. Schroer, 83, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at her residence.
Mrs. Schroer was born October 24, 1925 in Frankfort, KY and moved to Vero Beach in 1987 from Louisville, KY.
She was a 1942 graduate of Cardome Academy in Georgetown, KY and received her Bachelors degree in Education in 1965 from the University of Louisville. Mrs. Schroer served as an elementary school teacher and as a guidance counselor in the Jefferson County, KY school system for 19 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach and an avid bridge player.
Survivors include her daughter Susan Burkley of Vero Beach; son David Schroer, Jr of Zionsville, IN; brother Bill Benassi of Rosamond, CA; sister Margaret Wilson of Versailles, KY; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband David M. Schroer in 1997.
Services: A Mass will be celebrated 11AM, Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
