Douglas Albert Arnold, 73, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2015. He was born December 30, 1941 in Rumford, Maine to Adam and Ruth Arnold.
Doug was a loving father, grandfather, and friend to all, and is survived by his son, Lee Arnold (Lori), daughter, Amy Senger (John), friend and companion, Thea Williams Hollingworth, grandchildren, Katie Arnold, Adam Arnold, Courtney Butler, Jake Senger, and Hunter Senger, and brothers, David Arnold and Bruce Arnold.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Manzolini Arnold and his parents.
Doug was a Christian by Faith, always helping and thinking of others. He was a fire fighter in the U.S. Air Force, a Pilot for Pan American Airways, and was a worker for the city of Vero Beach Utilities and U.S. Postal Service, however, his years of teaching at Tabernacle Baptist School were the highlight of his working career.
A Memorial Service will be in the Prayer Chapel, First Church of God, 58th Avenue, Vero Beach, at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, July 19, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolence Fund, First Church of God, 1105 - 58th Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida, 32966 in honor of his deep commitment and mission in life to always serve others.
