Earl Hobbs Jr.
Earl Hobbs Jr., 90, of Vero Beach passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Atlantic Healthcare Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Hobbs was born August 12, 1922 in Vero Beach, and had been a lifetime resident.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theater as a gunner and torpedo bomber. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Technical Sergeant.
Prior to his retirement he worked in citrus and cattle farming.
Survivors include his sons, James Douglas Hobbs of Old Town and Earl Hobbs III of Vero Beach; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha Heminghaus.
Burial was held at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach, FL.
