Edith F. Fred, 70, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, September 16, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Fred was born September 22, 1940 in Norwalk, CT and moved to Vero Beach 42 years ago from Ft. Pierce, FL.
She had been the secretary for the Indian River Citrus League and was a member of the First Church of God in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years Walter Fred, daughter Debbie Wadsworth, granddaughter Cameron Dorst, grandson Logan Wadsworth and great-grandson Michael Dorst all of Vero Beach.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Services: A memorial service celebrating her life will begin at 11 AM, Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the First Church of God, 1105 58th Avenue in Vero Beach with Pastor Greg Sempsrott officiating. A reception will follow at the church dining hall.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach, Florida. Condolences may be sent through www.coxgiffordseawinds.com
